"Dirty, Grim, Extra Noise" is the debut album from Berlin based Palace Chop House - uniquely named after the location in Newark, New Jersey where the infamous gangster Dutch Schultz was shot to death by rival gangsters. Recorded n Berlin, this music was created “live” during a marathon improvisation session. The trio combines the über-innovative guitar work of Klaus Killisch, the fiery rhythm-concret of Uri Killisch, and the spectacular spectacle of Richard Sylvarnes’ synthetics. This essential, groundbreaking album is a full frontal aural assault; shifting from bone-crushing beats to ethereal passages, to spine-tingling Neo-noir. At times freewheeling, at times majestic, this trio spits in the face of convention and unleashes a musical maelstrom. BUYER BEWARE.
